Today's words Crianças/Children Revolução/Revolution/ Cravos/Carnations
With the news that the former President of the Portuguese Republic and prime-minister Mário Soares has died, mention of the Carnation Revolution was made and it brought to mind my visit to Lisbon and meeting a lass who was proud of being one of the 'Children of the Carnation Revolution' where the revolutionaries didn't turn to violence but instead stuck a carnation in the armed force's gun barrels.
